About Nanoscience Instruments
A team of young, but experienced scientists founded Nanoscience Instruments in 2002. Nanoscience and Nanotechnology was new back then, and instrumentation like atomic force microscopy was still new to many of the people acquiring it. Using our expertise to guide and support the newcomers to the industry, we developed a strong customer base across many fields of "nano" - from educational to academic research to industrial R&D, failure analysis, and quality assurance.
The company quickly outgrew the spare bedroom and garage. With continued success, the company added scientists and expanded beyond Atomic Force Microscopy. New technologies like optical profilometers, scanning electron microscopes, nanoindenters were added to increase the solutions we can provide our customers.
In 2013 Nanoscience Instruments added a full SEM service divsion by purchasing the assets from Phenom World North America. In 2014 an east coast office was opened in the Washington DC area with a full applications lab and sales offices. In 2015 four new scientists joined the company.
In the summer of 2016 Nanoscience Instruments will move to a larger facility with additional lab space.
