Scientific Writer (AZ)

Nanoscience Instruments markets, sells, and services sophisticated scientific instrumentation. Our products are utilized by large and small universities, government labs, startups, and multinational corporations. We enable innovation by providing complex instrumentation which can probe and discover materials, processes, and interactions at the nanoscale.

We are looking for someone with a science degree, minimum B.S. in chemistry, materials science, or engineering.

The Scientific Writer (AZ) works collaboratively with the marketing department to develop content that communicates the value of our products and generates, and nurtures leads. The scientific writer collaborates with application scientists, salespeople, and service engineers to develop white papers, application notes, user guides, datasheets, website content and other collateral that brands Nanoscience Instruments, our products and services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Working with the applications, sales, and service to gather and develop customer-facing content.
  • Writing, editing, and formatting technical documentation like datasheets, user guides, blogs, and application notes.
  • Creating and publishing promotional material such as product guides, white papers, and web pages.
  • Creating content for social media, email campaigns, and websites.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

  • B.S. in chemistry, material science, or engineering
  • Possess advanced writing, communications, and editing skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail with decision-making and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects based on set deadlines
  • Comfortable with constructive feedback on marketing messages
  • A fast learner who isn’t afraid to ask questions
  • A desire to learn and test new marketing messages
  • A solid interest in science and scientific research
  • Growth mindset

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Work setting:

  • In-person
  • Office
