ParticleX Technical Cleanliness Example Report

Summary:

Sample Information: Particles are collected on a filter through  rinsing the component in a clean environment to minimize additional contamination. The washed surface area is approximately 500 cm2. The filter containing the particles was then dried and loaded into the sample stage using a Filter Stage Insert to firmly secure it, then analyzed in the Phenom XL Desktop SEM using the ParticleX Technical Cleanliness Solution.

Report includes the following

  • Sample ID, Sample prep information and run information
  • Summary table containing ISO 16232 / VDA-19 results, which contains particle counts per size range and chemical classification (normalized to a surface area of 1000 cm2) with color coding to indicate hardness risk level
  • Component Cleanliness Code (CCC) and component pass/fail results
  • Histogram table containing raw particle counts
  • Histogram chart summarizing particle count per size range and chemical classification
  • Stage map showing locations of all detected particles
  • Complete particle information from the ten largest particles
