Sample Information: Mechanically polished steel specimens are placed in the metallurgical stage insert for the Phenom XL Desktop SEM and analyzed using the ParticleX Steel solution. In this example, a total of 15 specimens were analyzed and the largest inclusion of each sample is shown in this report.
Report includes the following:
- Ranking, probability positions, and calculated statistical parameters for the extreme value distribution per ASTM E2283; includes the extrapolated maximum inclusion size per run in terms of maximum ferret diameter (Dmax).
- Extreme value analysis graph – A probability plot showing how well the observed data fits an extreme value distribution.
- Morphology and inclusion information for the largest inclusion of each specimen.
