Application Scientist – SEM & Ion Milling
Nanoscience Instruments is seeking an Application Scientist to support our Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Ion Milling instrumentation. Key Responsibilities:
- Perform product demonstrations for SEM and Ion Milling systems in our application labs and at customer sites.
- Provide technical training and support to customers, ensuring successful implementation and operation of the instruments.
- Conduct sample analysis and generate detailed reports showcasing instrument capabilities.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for outreach and education.
- Stay up to date on advancements in SEM, ion milling, and sample preparation techniques to provide expert guidance to customers.
- Engage with R&D teams, product managers, and manufacturers to enhance application knowledge and contribute to product development.
- Travel as needed (domestic and international) to customer locations and industry events.
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Materials Science, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Ion Milling.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot instrument-related issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with scientists and engineers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
- Willingness to travel (~25%) for on-site demos, training, and conferences.
