Area Sales Manager – Electron Microscopy
Nanoscience Instruments is seeking an experienced Senior Area Sales Manager to lead sales efforts for our electron microscopy portfolio across the Pacific region. With over 20 years of experience, we specialize in providing desktop SEMs, ion mills, SEM & TEM accessories, QCM-D, and more to academic, government, and industrial research institutions.

Work setting:
Remote (CA) | 40% Travel
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth in California, Oregon, Washington, and Hawaii.
- Identify and engage with scientists, engineers, and executives to provide tailored solutions.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification to closing deals and post-sales support.
- Provide technical consultation to customers, ensuring alignment between their research needs and our solutions.
- Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing and new customers to expand market share.
- Attend and represent the company at trade shows, workshops, and conferences.
- Keep sales pipeline data and CRM systems up to date to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record in capital equipment sales, preferably in scientific instrumentation (>$100K ASP).
- Experience with scanning electron microscopy (SEM) or related technologies is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physical Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong ability to develop, manage, and close complex sales in a consultative environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel 40%+ within CA, OR, WA, HI & national events.
Location Requirement:
Candidates must be based in California to be considered.
