Sample Information: Samples are collected by stubbing hands, clothing, or environments that have been near a discharged firearm. This stub can be directly placed into the Phenom XL Desktop SEM sample stage and analyzed using ParticleX GSR.
Report includes the following:
- Quality Control Report – summarizes relevant microscope parameters and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) calibration results with pass/fail status indicated.
- Auto Video Report – This shows the video level or gray scale after the Auto Video or Auto Brightness and contrast is performed to confirm that the brightness and contrast was set properly before analysis.
- Particle Analysis Summary Report – summary of particle counts per classification and number of confirmed GSR particles.
- Stage Map – locations of detected particles with confirmed GSR particle locations circled.
- Complete results from each confirmed GSR particle, including images, particle size measurement, and EDS spectra.
- Full confirmatory analysis results from each GSR particle.
